I am the proud grand daughter of Pvt. Thomas Cabido Cabrera. As his grand daughter I enjoy hearing him tell me the stories of when he was in the war. My children enjoy hearing them also. We all see grandpa as the hero of the family and I have always looked up to him. I would just like to say thanks to all the men who fought that war for us! We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for them.

We love this web site. Like ours, it offers a lot of information that veterans can use. Have you seen the new 2009 Presumptive List of service-connected conditions? If not, visit http://www.veteranprograms.com to learn what benefits veterans can get today.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still "up and running" at age 85. I'm also happy, Rod, to see that you are still maintaining this great website. Thanks and best regards. Frank Neuwirth

I am looking for anyone who might have known my dad. His name is Pvt Merle Frank Gust. According to the records I have, he was orginally a crewman on a 155 mm Howitzer (towed)from Omaha beach until late 1944. He was then in the recon company as a radio operator once that was formed. If anyone has any knowledege of my dad, knew him or possible have any pictures, it would be great. I am retired Air Force and I want to thank all the members of the 821st for their service and sacrafice
