My father, Henry (Hank or "China") Dymek served as a Pfc in the 821st TD BN Co B. He died in 1992 before my brother and I could ask him to fully describe his military history to us, so that we could pass that on to his grandchildren. If anyone remembers our dad and is willing to share some memories, we would be very grateful. We have some of his wartime photos of TD crew members that we would be willing to share.

I have a unit patch taken from a university drama department uniform. The uniform is a WWII era and I was hoping someone may know who it belonged to. If there are any veterans of the 821st in the Greenville, SC area, I would like to talk and/or meet with you. God Bless

Hello 821st TD. My brother and I are searching for any stories or any information about our Dad, Capt. Dock A. Stuart. Dad passed away back in 2002. As anyone who knew him would tell you he was a man of few words. He was also very proud of his men and the job they did. Looking forward to hearing anything from anyone. Thanks

30 September or 1 October 1944 a Pfc Eddie Mosquda was killed in action in Simpelveld, Holland, just a stone throw from the German border, in the vicinity of the Dutch town of Heerlen, known to many GIs who visited the 9th Army Rest Center there. Eddie was a member of Company B. A group of young Dutchmen are officially commemorating those GI's who were died on Dutch soil, with a bronze memorial plaque at the site the indidual was killed. We have looked in the l944 history of the 821st where mention is made of the event, but no details. Is there anyone in your organization that might be able to shed some additional light on the sad event or, who might have access to or knows where to direct me to a copy of the two days morning reports of Co B.

I travelled to The Netherlands-American Cemetery in Margraten in late September and visited the graves of my great uncle, Harvey Wade, and his friend, Milton Brodsky. I also found the grave of one of Harvey's tank destroyer crewmates, Lloyd Larsen.

Many thanks to the Brodsky family for the Margraten information they gave me before my trip.

If any member of the Larsen family would like to have a photograph of his grave, please contact me.

I have other photographs of the cemetery if anyone would like them.

The cemetery was very well maintained, and cemetery representative Frenk Lahaye was very kind and helpful.

If anyone needs assistance with information about reaching the cemetery from Amsterdam, please feel free to contact me.

Grandson of Andrew E. Folenga
who served with the 821stTD until aprox. Oct1945 returned to the US on the William Victoria from LeHavre France Sept 30th 1945. I am interested in any information regarding my Grandfather's buddies and any stories they might have shared so that I might pass them down to my kids. I never knew my grandfather as he died when I was a baby from lung cancer. I have some very clear photographs of him and guys from his unit I would be happy to share. Just send a note and we can get together on them. My grandfather was a delivery driver for the Chicago Tribune right after the war. Since he was a TD driver in the war I'm sure he was well prepared for Chicago traffic.

Hello. My Uncle, Patrick Nilon had written a message concerning his father and my grandfather, John Nilon, and John's friend Pat Raftery. Both serving in the 821st TDBN Company C(John) and B(Pat). Now that i have found out where and what "Battalion" my grandfather served in, I would like to know if anyone has any information about either of these men. If you do have info, plese send any documents, photos etc. to me via e-mail. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!
